Plant based Endurance runner with a thirst for AF beer, snowboarding, travel & the great outdoors. Upcoming gigs 👉 Arc of Attrition, MIUT 115, Lakeland 50, TDS
Every other race photo from MIUT I'm smiling in, obviously caught unawares for this one.
Kinda like it though. 📸🤣

Looks like we're going to see some challenging conditions during this year's edition of Arc of Attrition.
I blame UTMB. 🤣

Kim Collison has done it! This *is* his year and he has touched the wall as the winner of the 2025 Montane Spine Race.

268 miles and 39,000 feet of climb and 3 previous attempts. Outstanding achievement and I couldn’t be happier for him 🤩

Hi smile is very well earned

I'm far from a high level athlete but even if I wanted to. 😴
It's seldom the high-level athletes who brag about waking up at the crack of dawn to work out.

They see that as a negative. Something that impairs their performance & recovery.

It's often the lower performing athletes who wear waking up at 5am as a badge of honor

Sleep is good

One of the keys to elite performance is staying in the game long enough to allow your talent to fully express.

A rush to be great can often impede our development

Be patient
Focus on consistency over heroic efforts
Play the long game
Keep & develop the joy of the pursuit

Drawing the universal distress signal 'SOS' along the entire length of the Mer de Glace with headlamps! ❄️ 💡

That was the ambitious goal of this project involving a large team of 15 people on the glacier to focus attention to its disappearance 🔥🌡️

Trail running gives me headspace, allowing disconnection from the world on a daily basis.
I don't wear headphones, allowing me to really connect with nature & surroundings.
Modern society has slowly tried to eliminate thinking.

Our down time has been hijacked by scrolling instead of allowing our mind to wander and think.
