Meanwhile, the Republican super-PAC Senate Leadership Fund announced an "initial $42 million investment" in Maine last month to help Sen. Susan Collins win re-election. This will (again) be a very expensive race.

Maine Senator Susan Collins, one of the Republican Party’s most electorally vulnerable senators, confirmed Tuesday morning that she will seek a 6th term in office — She begins the campaign with a 54% disapproval rating — her seat is central to Democratic hopes of retaking control of the Senate

Okay, real answer from someone with deep ancestral ties to Maine.

Collins gave a wink and a nod to Maine's long history and tradition of shoemaking (which was decimated by offshoring textile manufacturing) and the New Balance factory that recently opened there.

And Democrats made fun of it.

Susan Collins just announced she’s running again. She’s had almost three decades to prove that she’s the right leader for Maine in this critical moment — and she's failed.

Seniority without a backbone is just tenure, and another term won’t fix that. It's time for her to go.

I don't live in Maine.

Explain to me how a Republican like Susan Collins manages to get re-elected in Blue State Maine.

I honestly thought Sara Gideon would defeat Susan Collins in 2020 but I was wrong.

It's official:

Republican Senator Susan Collins of Blue State Maine has announced she will run for her sixth term as Senator in 2026. Will Maine re-elect her or will they vote her out and replace her with Janet Mills or Graham Platner?

I wonder if Turning Point USA / TPUSA will do another halftime show as an alternative next year.

I'm personally curious about the conservative alternative in media, whether it's Bentkey from the Daily Wire or something like Angel Studios. The mainstream & the alternative.
