Yellow is a color of duality, a spectrum of shades, a visceral vitality. A humorous hue, one of joy and laughter. Whether basked in the sun or a sparkling ever after. Lemon sorbet and fall leaves last dance, beauty in yellow is beauty enhanced. Alternately, its a color of caution, from a slippery floor to a poison concoction. It also implies one to be cowardly, imbuing the title of 'yellow-belly'. Whatever the tone, whether belly or feather, yellow is glorious no matter the weather.

Another year dawns, on the day of my birth. Another voyage around the sun, on this starship called Earth. A myriad of memories, the consequence of choice. The relentless march of Father Time, a man without a voice. The weathered sun's warmth, the clouds golden garb, the tree's silhouettes all standing guard. These are the gifts, we are here to receive, far more precious than "as seen on TV". Gifts are given graciously, each and every day. Birthdays come but once a year, but beauty is here to stay.

Twilight lingers, glowing embers, dwindling sunset sky. Mossy bedrock, leafless branches, kaleidoscope clouds sail by. These are the things I see when I stare, i repeat them, so my mind stays aware. Mindfulness mantra meditation, melding my minds medication. Inhale, exhale, inhale once more, I close my eyes and drift from shore. A vagrant soul in a vast universe, searching for meaning, in which, to immerse.

Cloaked in moss, natures verdant gloss, as our climb grows ever steeper. There's a lesson here, that i hold so dear, the trees our patient teachers. Stand your ground, trust your roots are sound, and support all Earth's creatures.
