Don’t think these Texas National Guard guys are going to be chasing any immigrants around Chicago on foot

South Texas game cam catches a raccoon riding a javelina (Dicotyles tajacu).

The deer feeder corn attracts a lot of other species, but maybe we should worry about them all teaming up against us?

NEW: Alex Weatherhead had been working at Asheville's Wicked Weed for two years to the day when he was pulled off the brewhouse floor and canned by an HR person over Zoom for posts on his personal Facebook page that he was told "celebrat[ed] violence" in violation of A-B's social-media policy.

I lost my job last week for posting about Charlie Kirk. Thanks to @dinfontay.com for the write-up. @helldude.bsky.social and @thehardtimesnews.bsky.social there’s a small cameo in there for you two as well

Agreed with the Cooler Heads here. This act of political violence may one day soon serve as pretext to justify federal occupation of progressive cities or even unaccountable militias imprisoning people of color without due process at impenetrable, inhumane black sites. Well, I sure hope not!

Great article by my good friend @cyruscappo.bsky.social
Donald Trump has shown what can be accomplished with the aggressive use of executive power.

If and when the Left takes the White House, it should be prepared to do the same but for the sake of an ambitious pro-labor program.

The only purity test Wancil believes in. “Are you willing to admit LLMs can count”
I’m literally not. I think LLMs are terrifying and on net bad for society, that they open a Pandora’s Box we can’t close, and even that they lack a bunch of capabilities their promoters pretend they have (they can be your doctor, etc.). What I hate is the idiotic intellectual culture on this site.
Kind of oblique here to stancil, who, regardless of anything to do with AI, seems to be undergoing rapid Greenwaldization and allowing all of his opinions be determined by opposition to guys he is mad at online.

Bear in mind when you’re begging liberals to address the causes of the coming immiseration you’re actually asking them to have some very uncomfortable dinner parties with the people responsible. Not so simple now is it
