One of my favorite videos about St. Louis. Fitting that it be formally (re?)released on her 261st birthday!

To all of the non-St. Louisans out there, give this video a watch. We are St. Louis — and I don't believe we've met!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: modern politics and, by extension, political campaigns, are acts of class warfare.
more people should question how someone ends up in the position to run for president.

Almost back home to St. Louis! First time getting an @amtrak.com roomette and, let me tell you, this is absolutely the way to end a trip. Definitely my favorite way to travel by far. #TexasEagle #Forever21

I have the uncanny ability to find the guy with a doctorate, or perhaps some other advanced degree, at the bar. I then regale them with the tale of Pruitt-Igoe, Johnson's Great Society, the Housing Act of 1949, and more.

"Oh, you're a solicitor visiting from London? Well, let me tell you..." 😈

At a Bear bar in Chicago, looking like a long-haired college professor in my red button-up with a thin sweater, cuffs and sleeves halfway up my forearms. No one would ever suspect that I hail from a once-prominent lumberjack family from Southern Missouri. Stolen valor! 😂

Today we visited the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, which had a phenomenal exhibition on the local LGBTQ+ Community.

I just so happened to have my Descovy pill with me. I took a photo of it in front of an ACT UP/Chicago flyer.

Neither Instagram nor BlueSky will let me post the photo.

Another gaslight, more like. I've always thought that we needed to frame universal healthcare as asserting our self-assigned superiority over Europe.

"What, we're just going to let THOSE EUROPEANS(🌩️) outdo AMERICA(🦅) on HEALTHCARE?"

Alas, we're hellbent on self-destruction. Très de la mode.
I’ve been told my whole life that in the US the trade-off for not having public healthcare is timelier and better care. But I need to see a rheumatologist - six months’ wait. A neurologist- same thing. Like what the fuck? Another broken promise.

We need this iteration (and these members) of the Democratic Party to fail just as much as the Republican Party. Schumer is the torchbearer of feigned opposition.

I want a Rebuilders of America Party, composed of those who will actually have to someday rebuild the nation that Schumer, et al. broke.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

Yes, this is exactly the time to demand Democrats "do something."

They can denounce Trump's actions as unconstitutional. They can state that he must be impeached and removed. They can make clear that all involved will be held accountable.

These are the core duties of a role they all signed up for.

While I won't contest Steve's points (mostly because I don't care), I would point out that when sundials were introduced in antiquity, the elderly likewise complained. "I need only my stomach to tell me when to eat" 🙄

Fast forward 2000 years and enter: Steve Herman.
It's 2026.

Things many American school kids probably don't know how to do:

* Dial a rotary telephone

* Tell time from an analog clock

* Read or write cursive

* Decipher Roman numerals

* Navigate with a paper map or use a compass

* Balance a checkbook
