I know everyone is dunking on the robot here but look at how much space is devoted to cars in this scenario. The sidewalk should be bigger and the road smaller.
Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:
Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

That this is a choice, rather than a necessity of my continued employment, is probably a sign that my job is a not real job, however – it's been such a mental health win to ban myself from my personal phone during working hours

I always feel like *but party X got more/less of the popular vote* takes are overplayed. This wouldn't necessarily remain true if the winner were decided by popular vote! Targeting of campaign resources is a function of the electoral system!

Sometimes I'll stretch to keep up with someone socially and then massively crash out when I get too far into energy debt, so from their PoV someone who was enthusiastically into them just... disappears. It's not great.

Love that my local Green councillors are Getting Tough On Crime and listening to residents' Legitimate Concerns about traffic calming measures. This is definitely why anyone votes Green.

I don't like long pauses in live theatre because I get anxious that someone's forgotten their line and I start feeling secondhand embarrassment
