I asked a family friend who’s special interest is aviation this week and he said it’s still totally safe to fly. but tbh, seeing this hours before I’m due to fly across the country has me a little anxious.

It really is critical that people accept this. You don’t have to understand it, just accept it. The point is literally for kids and people to die. Now, is it foolish that they think THEY are the genetically superior? Sure. But eugenics is definitionally narcissistic and dumb.
RFK is a eugenics freak first and foremost and everything falls downstream from that. he *wants* excess deaths. he thinks that only the "fit" should survive.

First weekend without a working washing machine resulted in an enjoyable solo trip to the laundromat (sahm work trip 🙃) second week, eh,very busy laundromat trip.
Now we’re staring down the third week and I’m really missing the ability to just run a quick load whenever the need arises!

I don’t want there to be further us aggression towards Canada and also think it’s entirely reasonable for Canada to be gearing up for a nasty fight. I don’t think many Americans realize how seriously our neighbors are taking these threats and it scares me. 😭

If I lived outside the US, I would be leery of us and steer clear, too.

1. don’t rush design choices
2. Pressing & trimming at every step really does make a big difference
3. Trimming & pressing are actually compatible with active parenting duty - while the kids
play together.
4. Much easier to sew with 2 & 5yo than 1 & 4yo.

These patterned fabrics are book themed which felt right for a lovey quilt.
But I’m pretty vexed at my overlooking lack of contrast between hearts & background.
Not sure to proceed or redo with higher contrast.
Maybe just a lesson learned! It’s for my house so kinda nbd that it’s not awesome.
