"There are about 1000 of us." 1000! What are we even doing? They are all of our girls: sisters, daughters, cousins, mothers, aunts, grandmothers...on and on. These were children taken advantage of by men and women who knew exactly what they were doing. There are zero excuses. Enough.

I watched him 25 years ago with my daughter. His kindness now breaks me every time he posts. Steve’s the best.
Today is World Kindness Day.
It can be holding a door open for someone, offering a seat on the bus, or simply checking on the people who have been a part of your life's story.
Steve Burns took us on learning adventures & yet came back to check on us later.

Be aware New England peeps. Anaphylaxis does not always present with hives and breathing issues, it can present with gastrointestinal signs. If you are around a lot of ticks and notice some strange new symptoms after eating beef or dairy, get tested.
News outlets are reporting this as the 1st alpha-gal allergy-related death. It's not; there have been reported deaths for years from cancer treatments (like cetuximab) that contain the molecule. But it may be the 1st death from ingesting beef. Be careful, AG folks.

Most of these pols' mothers are likely no longer here to tell them to knock it off, OR they had moms that taught them zero manners or morals. I'm willing to pull out my mom card and start yelling, "Enough, I don't give a F who started it, it ends here." Anyone wanna give me a press pass?

We had a cat named Bean who was named way back when Jean Shaheen was running for NH state senate. Her ads were all over tv, etc. (we live in a neighboring state). Needless to say the cat officially became Bean Shaheen. She was a spicy, not super friendly, took no shit from the dogs kind of cat.

My heart and anger know no bounds.
This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.

Read this thread. Don’t look away. Keep your eyes and the pressure on Broadview.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Work in a bookstore and the conversation has begun as banks have alerted the shortage of pennies is here. What are small business with set prices supposed to do? Eat the cost? Customer eats the cost? Our state has a tax rate with a 1/4%. Are we supposed to create a math database? This is crazy.

Last week we were all talking about baseball, a lot of us about teams we don’t live near nor usually support. Tonight it is political races in places many of us don’t live in and we are just as excited and engaged. It’s wonderful to see. You guys rock.

Hi, I’m God.

Jesus and I agree that starving the poor so you can build yourself golden bathrooms and golden ballrooms is evil. Anyone who does that shall burn for eternity. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks,

Must read thread. People are going to be throwing out wild accusations. Counter with facts.
As SNAP hangs in the balance for nearly 42 million people, misinformation is rampant. Myths of laziness and fraud persist when we should be talking about too low wages for workers, income inequality, and our threadbare social safety net.

In this guest post, Adam Chandler sorts fact from fiction:
SNAP benefits feed essential needs while still leaving many hungry for more
Journalist and author Adam Chandler explains what so much of the conversation about them gets wrong.
