In other non-writing news, I've bought a pair of walking poles and a new pair of slippers. The way I'm going I'll be wearing those slippers far more than using the poles!

Thrilled have a 500-word story up today at The Cincinnati Review @cincinnatireview.bsky.social . This story started as an idea for an ending that I texted myself and carried around on a phone for years. Finishing was just a matter of finding a beginning:

I sent something in for the micro but my bridges story didn't work out. The bridge collapsed and fell into the water, and now it's sunk for good. But others of you may have stronger bridges.
So far we’ve received subs to our anthology on the theme of BRIDGES from the following: UK, India, Greece, Nigeria, Pakistan, USA, Ireland, The Netherlands, Turkey,Singapore, Australia, Denmark & Canada. Thank you! Subs close on 15/2 so unrepresented countries still have time!

Technical Question. I had to get a new computer. I had Windows 10. At present I only have Office Libre. Do magazines accept odt documents? Or only word? I don't think I can save new documents now in Microsoft word.

The NRA should be everywhere. This should be a galvanizing moment. If they are anything more than a group of craven, conveniently outraged cosplaying freedom fighters, this is the moment to prove their devotion to their ideals is authentic and not just something to sell tough guys bumper stickers.
