Honoured to have another nomination for my micro story, published by Raw Lit Mag. A story inspired by a night spent in a motel in Van Horn, Texas.

After yesterday's workshop I re-wrote the first chapter of my novella. This morning I wandered out into the sunshine, after the rain stopped. I can't walk far but I saw this.

I took a spooky picture. That's my contribution to Samhain.

I'm reading more at the moment. Perhaps because I can't get about so much. Loved both these. One Swedish, one Danish. Scandinavian days!

I've finished reading the proofs for my 3rd novel (self-publishing). My emotions are mixed. Pride, fear & anxiety, whatever-did-I-do-this-for, excitement, madness.
"Longshore Drift" comes out next spring. It's set in a fictitious Dungeness, a large shingle bank in Kent, UK. (My own photo)

I managed to shuffle along to the sea at Rye Harbour yesterday. I'm going in for a hip replacement on 14th November. I had the right one done 4 years ago. Now it's time for the left one.

I wrote this one about the kites at Beaconsfield Service station on the M40. A few years back.

One of the saddest books I have ever read. But so beautiful.

I've been having a clear out. Books. Clothes etc. I didn't realise how valuable this edition of Ariel was. It's not going to the charity shop! I'm keeping it. Belonged to my mum

I'm reading Merce Rodoreda for the first time. Strange and delightful. But on page 14 the translators use 'stoical marquineldes.' An animal I think. A type of dog? Any answers for me?!

I wrote this a while ago but it seems appropriate. News is darned awful but we can't give in to this new growing fascism.
