Seeing Chip Carter's beautiful eulogy is reminding me of a fancy-people thing that I never learned until well into adulthood.

Accomplished this Xmas week: re-read Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy; re-watched the ‘79 Alec Guinness series; and re-watched the 2011 Gary Oldman version. All great, but the more recent film doesn’t hold up as well as I’d hoped.
