I'm smiley. I like tennis, piano, musicals, and beer. I smile a lot more while experiencing any of these things.

Atrocious. The USTA should be ashamed of itself.
More news breaking at Bounces about Donald Trump's visit to the US Open men's final.

The US Open has sent an email to broadcasters, obtained by Bounces, ordering them to censor any reactions or protests from the crowd to Trump's appearance.

@tsnofficial.bsky.social pulls away from the Nadal ceremony to show me prerecorded Fernandez interview and moving over to her match. I know she's Canadian, but this is Nadal's goodbye French Open ceremony. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!

Honest (but not serious) question - how did the public give Albania 173 points and Malta 8? I'm perplexed. 😕

Poor Remember Monday. Zero points from public? Harsh.

These public votes are messed!

I wish CBC would somehow distinguish in its coverage how many of the seats for which they're showing results are "declared" vs. "projected." (Guess I'll have to check online?)

Broken record, I know but you don’t think Nike could have made sure Draper and Rune wouldn’t be dressed the same for the final?!… And that preppy boy look. Nail in my tennis fashion coffin.

The tennis rulebooks need a rule against identical outfits, this is a blight on the sport.

Can I make a request to the tennis clothing brands that they give their top players different kits? Except for Draper being lefthanded, I was having trouble telling he and Rune apart from the overhead camera view.

I picked a box of Toppables off the shelf at the grocery store today and placed it in my cart. An older gentleman stopped me and asked if they're any good. I told him that they're my favourite cracker. He decided to get a box, too. I hope he likes them!

So maybe we can finally stop talking about how the WTA isn’t competitive, huh? 🎾
Sinner didn’t play his best and it still wasn’t even remotely close. 🎾

Australian Open: the two-week period every year where I stay offline as much as I can to hopefully avoid learning results to matches I have recorded and intend to watch after work. (Very happy today was a successful spolier-free day.)

Challengers getting *zero* Oscar nominations—when it deserved for score and original screenplay, at least, surely—is the biggest shock upset in the tennis world this January, smh.

Catching up on day 12 now. Keys vs. Swiatek. Oof, anxiety was high! Glad to be able to watch the match in its entirety. I wanted Iga to win, but I'm still pleased for Madison. She's so dang charming!

Guess whose DVR did its "record but won't let you play the recording" trick for all of the Tuesday Australian Open coverage? No Alcaraz vs. Djokovic for me! Bell's #FibeTV is not great.
