I'm one of the occasional WTF listeners. I pick interviewees that I want to hear and usually scroll forward in the ep. to where the interview begins. So interesting reading through the lens of a long-time listener and how the monologues contribute to the enjoyment for you. Thanks for the piece!

Agreed. I was surprised by who ended up my no. 1. (I'm weird and write them all on slips of paper and arrange them as the show progresses. Austria was my winner, and I expected something else to take over that spot for me by the end. And nothing did.)
