I'm honestly looking forward to this, but not looking forward to the 1,000th Ken Burns documentary using the exact same format he's refused to stray from since Civil War 40 years ago.

Hard agree.
democrats love all their moderate, progressive, and top-of-the-distribution leaders <3
they can all live in harmony together under a big diverse tent if they restore regional party identities and stop the circular firing squad on nationalized media <3

On Australia Day in 1979, Melbourne University student Stuart McArthur published this map as an attempt to correct the northern hemisphere's tendency to make itself look more important.

It's now sold over 350,000 copies.

I'll be lucid forever!
People who listened to music most days slashed their risk of developing dementia by 39 percent compared with those who did not regularly listen to music, a new study of more than 10,000 people age 70 and over found.

Welp, they're thinking my original auto-immune disease maybe recurring in the new kidney transplant. Scheduling a biopsy...
Mixed results on bloodwork today. I'll just have to fret until I hear from my care team. 🫤

The other night I dreamed I got called back in to work at Po' Folks (my first real job when I was 16) and it was really stressful because they had all these new menu items that I didn't know how to prepare and I was having to figure it out on the fly.

50 years ago today, #OTD in Weather History, on November 10, 1975, the Great Lake ore freighter SS EDMUND FITZGERALD was lost with all hands in a severe storm on Lake Superior.

So it is time for the annual reupping of my thread on her loss.

She is perhaps the best known shipwreck on the Great Lakes, and today we remember her loss. 1/

Good god that's the very definition of insurance. That's how the business works!
Remember that insurance is actually a thing you hope never to use, and then read this critique.

I managed a 20min nap this afternoon and it made a world of difference. I've felt better since. My strategy was to put hockey on at low volume 🙂
