Chair of Utah Democratic Party, attorney, former legislator, 2024 candidate for governor, working to build a party, and an Utah, that works for everyone.
This should surprise no one. Rampant corruption at the highest level is a core part of today’s MAGA Republican party. And the fish rots from the head down.
🚨 BREAKING: Republicans slipped into the CR, at the last minute, a corrupt January 6th kickback to funnel millions of your taxpayer dollars directly into the bank accounts of 8 GOP Senators. Thanks to Trump, the shameless grift gets worse & worse.
Shutdown deal lets senators sue for $500,000 over data seizures like those in Jan. 6 probe
A provision of shutdown deal authorizes senators to bring lawsuits if federal law enforcement seizes or subpoenas their data without notifying them, with potential damages of $500,000.

Utah has a new congressional map! It's clear that the GOP is terrified of voters actually getting a voice in who represents them in Congress. That's because they know that their record is simply indefensible. With this new map, Utahns will hold them accountable next November.

His mother had often said, When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action. She had emphasized the corollary of this axiom even more vehemently: when you desired a consequence you had damned well better take the action that would create it. -Lois McMaster Bujold

Remarkable. The cruelty really is the point for this regime. And not just for Trump. For his enablers and supporters as well.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

I really rebel against this idea that politics has to be a place full of ego and where you’re constantly focused on scoring hits against one another. Yes, we need a robust democracy, but you can be strong, and you can be kind. -Jacinda Ardern

Because of the Republican shutdown, Utah families will stop receiving SNAP benefits on November 1st. This will literally take food off the tables of almost 90,000 Utah families, all because Trump and congressional Republicans won’t come to the table to negotiate.

Gotta call out blasphemy when it’s so blatant.
He's "saving God" y'all.

This was once called blasphemy in the church I was raised in.
Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

Well thank goodness a Republican governor has the courage to speak the obvious truth: it’s wrong for the President to send national guard troops to a state to retaliate against his political opponents. If only other GOP Guvs had similar backbone.
Republican Governor of Oklahoma Kevin Stitt condemns the deployment of Texas's National Guard to Illinois.

“Oklahomans would lose their mind if [Gov. JB] Pritzker in Illinois sent troops down to Oklahoma during the Biden administration,” Stitt told The New York Times in an interview.
