Not sure why I thought this was a good time to read this. It's amazing, and after reading his most recent book I knew it would be, but SO scarily spot on and relevant it's insane!

So @theatlantic.com made up for horrific RFK cover last month with powerful cover photo from J6 and then powerful essay on institutional knowledge lost since 1/20/25 in the fed govt and pages of interviews with fed workers fired or quit. Absolutely heartbreaking we've lost so much in just 1 year.

We need to be treated by the rest of the world the way Russia was treated when they invaded Ukraine. Sanctions on everything, seize assets, don't travel here, remove us from the intl order, etc. Make us a pariah nation! And any country that comes here for World Cup and Olympics is an enabler.
