Hello, friends! If you're following me, that means you're cool. Or uncool. I don't remember which. But you're likely to get a shit ton of TV and music recommendations in between tons of political content. Also the occasional #actuallyautistic post from a guy who spent 41 years thinking he was NT.
I don't understand these types of gotchas from conservatives. I never have. If you are for socialized healthcare, you have to only wear Target shoes? Huh? It's absolutely idiotic. Good shoes are expensive – *especially* women's. Why should she not be allowed to wear nice shoes?

THE DAY CARES ARE LOCKED BECAUSE YOU MADE A GENERATION-LONG EFFORT TO MAKE IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE TO KILL THE CHILDREN INSIDE THEM YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING GHOULS
these fucking people. they pass laws to make sure every person with a screw loose who wants an Armalite can show up to the day care armed & ready to kill, then complain that the day cares are locked to protect the children inside
CNN: “Surely you don’t think a daycare should be unlocked.”

SHIRLEY: “There should be a reception area.”

CNN: “No, every day care is locked.”

SHIRLEY: “Fair point.” 🤔

He shows up to a day care with masked men and wonders why they don’t let him in.

Democrats need to make a firm break with Oprah Winfrey. Her '90s era clout chasing gave us both Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. They probably wouldn't have been platformed without her.
Dr. Oz on the "super flu": "Every year there's a flu vaccine. It doesn't always work very well. That's why it's been controversial of late. But like many illnesses, the best news out there is if you can take care of yourself so that when you do end up running into the flu, you can overwhelm it."

This is absolutely unhinged behavior. Complete violation of the social contract, particularly in the era of mass school shootings. I hope these two men get arrested for harassment and spend a period in prison reflecting on what their clout-chasing truly is about.
uhhh yeah I can see why these childcare properties weren't eager to let in some rando dudes asking "where are the kids?"

I’m trying to think what would have happened if, during the Mississippi welfare fraud scandal between 2020 and 2023, the Biden administration had halted *all* federal welfare funding to Mississippi.

The right would have lost it; Fox & GOP would have called for an armed revolt.

I know I'm gonna get flak for this, but honest to God, I think "A Complete Unknown" is a God-tier biopic. I haven't seen "Marty Supreme" yet, but of all the rest of his stuff, this is my favorite Chalamet performance.

Ever wonder what it woulda been like to be in the landed aristocracy without a real job in 19th Century England? So... I'd basically have no real job. Like most rich people.

Mark Cuban is honest to God one of the biggest baby billionaires in a sea of baby billionaires. So fragile. If his ego isn't stroked *just right*, he blames anyone but himself. Typical billionaire.
tell me if you've heard this one before: a billionaire gets upset for being criticized for saying stupid things on social media, then confidentially concludes the problem is most certainly everybody else

See I knew that the Right could be brought around to supporting gender-affirming care as an expression of autonomy and human dignity (well, kind of)

One day Jeff Bezos is gonna be gone, and I can only hope it's long, long before MacKenzie Scott goes.
With millions of Americans about to pay higher premiums or lose their health insurance, the Washington Post editorial board published a flagrantly misleading op-ed opposing Medicare for All.

Not mentioned: Jeff Bezos's stake in the healthcare discussion zeteo.com/p/washington...

This is the correct take. Skyline chili is a regional dish that should be celebrated. Not quite a Chicago-style hot dog or Beef Sandwich, but delicious, and the noodles are *chef's kiss*. I mean, what's NYC got, the disgusting goop known as Manhattan Clam Chowder?
Skyline Chili is legitimately awesome, I’m not even saying this ironically anymore. When I have a wait at Cvg flying out, I don’t care what time of day it is, I’m going to the airport Skyline so I can get a final taste of home before flying to non-Skyline country

This is hilarious. I honestly can say I adore Trey Anastasio and his dorky, goofy sense of humor.
It’s almost time to say farewell to the MetroCard and to 2025. But where do you go when the swipes go out? Tap and ride on your way to the Garden for Phish’s annual NYE run and listen up for Trey’s announcements in the subway system on your way there!

Nagy is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the rule that utterly mediocre white men always fail upwards. What's Nagy truly accomplished (COTY notwithstanding) that makes him a better candidate than Eric Bienemy? Not that I want Bienemy going anywhere; the Bears' RB room has flourished under him.

Jesus H. Christ on a corn dog stick, save me from major outlet political pundits pushing on the march towards fascism by being completely credulous of politicians' motives. Jonathan Last is clearly stupider than MTG, and she's really not all that smart. Amazing how many dummies live in this country.
I’ve seen a bunch of responses to the Draper profile of MTG complaining about her pushing ahead a bill that restricts gender-affirming care for minors. This is a misunderstanding of what she’s doing. www.thebulwark.com/p/why-marjor...

This is an absolutely unreal stat. Poor Atlanta fans.
Since 2018, the Atlanta Falcons are 53-78 (.405) in games played with playoff eligibility, and 11-4 (.733) in games played after being mathematically eliminated.

$8B would’ve been 3% of his net worth, and $190M is .08%. ~$75 for ordinary working people.

Every single member of the @democrats.org in the Senate voted to confirm Rubio. Every. Single. One. They didn't have to; he would've been confirmed anyway. This was a conscious choice by BOTH parties.
The U.S. government just banned five people from entering the country because it doesn’t like their speech. This ban, according to the State Department, is necessary to protect free speech.

If that sounds insane to you, congratulations on your reading comprehension.
