I did a boatload of sand casting today, till I ran out of gas! Then I moved to wax carving. I usually carve my wax, make a bronze or PMC cast of it so I have a permanent to cast in sterling. If I use the wax copy, I risk breaking it every time I sand cast it. #silversmith #sandcast #artisanjewel

Well, I’ll just throw this out there; if all you do is turn in scrap for money. I am a sandcaster. I use scrap silver for casting. I will pay more than the current rate for scrap silver and no $50 processing fee. It will help someone buy new silver and it helps me save time sourcing. Win-Win!
