I did a boatload of sand casting today, till I ran out of gas! Then I moved to wax carving. I usually carve my wax, make a bronze or PMC cast of it so I have a permanent to cast in sterling. If I use the wax copy, I risk breaking it every time I sand cast it. #silversmith #sandcast #artisanjewel

Pliers I was using.
I’m making some paper clip chain in the studio tonight. I was using these pliers to spread the jumpring into a paper clip shape. Then I got the bright idea to use these needle nose wax files and my vice to create the shape! Much easier and I’m not tearing up my pliers! Who else has some tips??

I’ve always had nervous hands…trying to place my solder is like trying to nail jello to a tree🤣. I bought this Pepe Tool and my God, my life went different today! It’s $35, but worth every dollar and every cuss word I saved myself! Go buy yourself one, please! #safeguardyoursanity #silversmith
