Watching ‘The Shining’ (the only horror movie rising to the level of art, SNS). W/O Reading the book or watching ‘Dr. Sleep’, I always interpreted it as a story of toxic masculinity, DV, gaslighting, and the coping mechanisms of its victims. Honestly more terrifying than the supernatural, imo.
