Self loathing and hubris. Sometimes echidnas. Sometimes that other thing. Over there, behind you.
I did a Star Trek podcast that has [d]evolved into dad-chat for hellworld, mostly. Oh and another one that hasn’t.

Just how interesting can it be to try to make a helmet out of a giant mantis head while laying around with a bunch of wolves?

I loved Eddington, then I talked with Hugh and realized I need to watch it again with “secret knowledge” that I felt dumb for not noticing the first time.
We’ve been watching more movies and talking about them on the main feed lately. Especially proud of all the insights Hugh had to the John Ford of it all in Eddington, which you should go see before listening to our dumb podcast

Neither skeet or whatthefuc, nor substack, nor other “platform” for a fuck to “monetize” your attention with but an honest to god website that is not promoting my work at all but that of guy named Benny. Remember when there were regular ass funny websites? www.bennyscheckner.com/musings/2025...

I’m 45, but yes.
Another thing about everyone on Bluesky besides us all being 38 and all liking Star Trek Deep Space 9 is that we all live in Philadelphia

Yes, there is quite a bit of “shit” in the titles for these. The scatological preoccupation of the narrator is not lost on me. open.substack.com/pub/bogmad/p...

Got this in the mail the other day, and gotta say: The vibes were pretty good!
Introducing TRAP, a short and irregularly published zine of adventures, mishaps, and c. If you like TTRP vibes more than you like explicit instructions, TRAP may be for you. It is not going to be available digitally for a little while, but if you want a copy, I will mail you one for free.

Spending too much time on Substack and seeing all this advice and “tips for getting into GMing”
I dunno, just play the fucking games guys. It’s not that hard. Finding the time and people with the same time, that’s the harder part

This took long enough:
6,000+ words conjecturing what it might be like for man with a Neolithic understanding of the world and a modern aptitude for saying “fuck, shit, etc” to fight a meticulously researched giant praying mantis who kills his wolf-friend.

I started a substack. Not because I got jack shit I want to charge readers for, but because it was the closest thing to the old livejournal days for typing out inane little projects no one but me cares about. This one is from a solo-ttrpg I played. See? Just for me open.substack.com/pub/bogmad/p...
