700 extra police in Brum tonight for the Villa v Maccabi match. Biggest local news so far, a policeman is up the spire of Aston Church. Whether this is for surveillance or spiritual reasons is currently unclear. Anyway, it's a nice spire.

Word to the wise if you are having the new Covid booster. Side effects take a good 24 hours to kick in so it’s the night after and beyond you need to not have any plans! I’m currently in bed shivering gently and trying to work out what aches most! 😬

Whatever else comes out once the attack on the ECML train last night, this alone is a credit to the train crew, driver, and signalling team.
Huntingdon was the first possible stop. In a highly stressful situation and improvising a plan the train lost just 3 minutes vs line speed to get there.

It's my birthday, so have a present. SLIPPERY CREATURES (Will Darling Adventures book 1) is going on cheap over the weekend. 1920s pulp adventure m/m romance with plots, spies, Bright Young People, and emotional support knife, all for 99p!
About bloody time. As someone with an astigmatism it’s even worse. Like a starburst in your vision both head on and in mirrors. Puts me off driving after dark which is very limiting in a northern winter.
