why are so many people okay with outsourcing coding efforts to what is a pretty expensive (and despite that, a loss leader) subscription to a remote machine. it feels like the entire ideal of self-hosting/computing sovereignty has been completely forgotten in the sea of LLM technology discourse

Using a combination of glitches in Super Mario World, Yoshi can be taken into the final battle, where he can eat Peach upon Bowser's defeat. With Peach gone, the ending will not play, and Mario and Yoshi will simply stare at each other forever.

This really is the test of this moment and I think it's time we speak with clarity and demand our leaders do the same.
There's hardly a meaningful distinction between ICE and the Gestapo at this point and we might as well confront that.
