USAID’s budget for 2024 was $35 billion.

Trump’s invasion of Venezuela will conservatively cost hundreds of billions.

MAGAts bitched about USAID as wasteful (it wasn’t). Also 300,000 have died already due to those cuts with 15 million expected by 2030.

But, you know, oil.

Trump’s actions are blatantly unconstitutional.

There is no dispute that Maduro is a brutal dictator — but only Congress has the power to declare war.

If Congress does not begin reasserting itself — immediately — our constitutional order will be permanently transformed.

Republican have sunk us to this point in time.

The illegal attack on Venezuela is a direct result of the GOP forfeiting their roles to worship at the altar of a tyrant.

They will be bound to these abominable acts for all time.

Generations to come will study their weakness and failure.

Let me get this straight, the regime attacks and kidnaps Venezuelans in our country and deports them with no due process.

Then goes to Venezuela and kidnaps Venezuelans and brings them here for a trial?

WTAF is this insanity.

Trump promised no “new stupid wars,” yet he’s starting one with Venezuela without congressional approval.

People can’t afford groceries and millions are losing healthcare, but this is where his focus is.

This is unconstitutional and not what the American people asked for.

Artists are boycotting the Kennedy Center after the president renamed it to include himself. Plans for his White House ballroom are still pushing forward. Why did Donald Trump even bother with all these vanity projects?

As art historian Erin Thompson told @revealnews.org, it’s all about power.
Trump's gilded White House makeover is all about power
On this week’s “More To The Story,” art historian Erin Thompson examines the ways societies build and destroy monuments—and why Trump is so focused on remaking Washington in his own image.

I would think Maduro has head of state immunity from prosecution under international law (with exception for grave human rights violations, see, e.g., Pinochet)
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
