My weekend project was trying out #PicoIDE on my Amiga 1200. It mostly works, just needs a few tweaks. Thanks to the Amiga community who knows this machine way better than I do!

Humongous 68K Collection

https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/humongous-68k-collection

I have created a self-booting (System 7.5.5) image with most or all (?) of the 68K compatible games from Humongous Entertainment, complete with a Launcher. This should be a drop-in for any BlueSCSI

Well, as you can see, it booted my image file from the BlueSCSI. I've never been happier to see a Windows splash screen 😂

Disk Jockey for Windows has been updated!
Version 1.6 adds support for the Snow emulator and lets you inject HFS and ProDOS partitions from other Mac disk images into your own (you're no longer limited to simple .img or .image files).

BlueSCSI Toolbox 1.0.2 released:
Fix issue with 0 byte files
Fix issue with logo not appearing sometimes
Fix apps not quitting on shutdown
Fix handling file names exactly 32 chars long

Notable non-code feature is BlueSCSI Toolbox now works in the Snow Emulator - I used it to prep this release!

Both of these computers have been sitting around since I got them as part of a bundle and I usually use my LC 575. Installed MacBatt and BlueSCSI (using my 575 drives images lol) and they both work perfectly!

Now the real question is what should I do with the both of them. Besides a cleaning.

New blog post! When you want to replace an aging SCSI disk, you go buy a #BlueSCSI. What happens if you want a cheaper BlueSCSI? You can order the parts and build one. What if you want one that costs more AND is more work? Now we're talking. #retrocomputing

A lot of newer computers need what is called “a hard drive,” and as I work on 16- and even 32-bit ones, I’m finding more need for SCSI drives. There’s already lots of great SCSI emulators out there, b...

In the way BlueSCSI rescues old computers with failed hard drives, I wish there were a universal thing that could save old laptops by replacing their screens with modern ones that are more power efficient with better backlighting.

Like RGBtoHDMI but with LVDS and whatever laptops used before that.
