Nigel Farage says he wants to 'raise aspiration' by cutting the minimum wage for young people (currently £10), but reducing tax for young people earning over £100k. Presumably he wants them to just ask their stockbroker fathers to fix them up with a job in The City, like he did.

It's increasingly obvious that Labour's strategy - call it Starmerism, Blue Labour, whatever - has got it badly wrong. It has alienated the party's core vote while failing to win over those leaning to Reform. There was no shortage of people warning them they were getting it wrong either.

What an unbelievably wanky thing to do. I thought Waitrose/John Lewis was meant to be the acceptable face of capitalism! Glad I don't pay over the odds for the pleasure of wallowing in smugness with all the Tarquins and Tabithas. Fair play to Asda (obvs the unacceptable face of capitalism).
