Here we are, an official US govt post containing a dogwhistle to the US right-wing's mythologised version of #Rhodesia, the British colony that went rogue rather than give black people rights.

The 2015 #Charleston Church shooter wore a Rhodesian flag on a jacket.

3rd West African Division was all-Nigerian, 6th, 7th, & 12 Bt. 🇳🇬 Regt inc 3 Engineers and 3 Field Ambulance.

Her husband was a British hero & she is wearing a #burka.

In 1909, during the State Opening of Parliament, suffragette Muriel Matters boarded an airship intending to "bomb" Parliament with 'votes for women' leaflets.

In 1939, she reminisced about her aerial adventure:

Both 1984's "Mutiny on the Bounty" (set in 1789) and 1995's "Rob Roy" (set around 1713) feature historically accurate portrayals of the use of black boys as 'exotic' household staff by rich white Britons on the home islands. #History #movies #blackhistory
