A great conversation with my good friend Jim Hill!
New Episode!

So awesome to have our friend Jim Hill talk on affairs in the Niagara area as war comes to that area in 1812.

A cold one!

We have had over 10 C and have had -20 C. We have had no snow and so much snow we could not move. We have had clear sunny days and we have been out in a blizzard.

What will this year bring?

Re-enacting Memory: Back to New Orleans, 2015.

The first battle was the night attack and we were under the "lights", portable lights brought in to illuminate the battlefield for us.

The 41st/49th were the forward picquet. What fun!

Quite looking forward to hear Emmanuel talk on this fascinating subject!

How many people in Quebec (or North America for that matter) can trace their ancestry back to these women?
www.historysymposium.com/emmanuel-dub...

We have added our April talk to round out our Spring series.

@lafayettepodcast.com will talk about the "King's Daughters". There was a lot of interest in this topic when he did his episode on New France 2 years ago!

Oh no! This is sad. Always enjoyed Emmanuel's work and was very happy to feature him on a livestream on the @historysymposium.bsky.social YouTube channel.

All the best!
My dear listeners and friends,

After four years and over forty episodes, I believe my podcasting days are over. I’ve loved making my podcast, it’s been one of the best experiences of my life. It has allowed me to dig into history as I did when I was younger.
