These evolving "Shop Here, Not Here" guides from @swcollectivechi.bsky.social are very nice - well communicated, clear, actionable. Helps people decide where to spend their money even if they're not particularly vulnerable themselves, and highlights businesses working to keep their customers safe.
Like everyone else, we are LIVID about what happened at Swap-O-Rama, and what continues to happen at Home Depot.

When businesses have no safety plan communicated at all, to vendors or customers, it has the potential to create a very dangerous situation.

Let’s boycott and shop local.

Fantastic Fest Review: 'Night Patrol' Keeps its Story Balanced and Hood
Night Patrol is playing with mercury. An authentic portrayal of L.A. gang culture smashed right up against a wild vampire horror story.

It was illustrated by a sister of mine, Keturah Bobo.

happy day when I fondly remember a group of fourth graders absolutely destroying Columbus’s legacy during a Zoom social studies lesson to one and all

“he was a JERK”
“he killed a lot of people”
“he didn’t even discover America!”

remote school was mostly a nightmare but that was a great day

yearly reminder to people insisting that we view Christopher Columbus as "a man of his time" that *the people responsible for the Spanish Inquisition* thought Columbus was out of pocket
Christopher Columbus was dragged back to Spain in chains by a crusading knight, convicted of tyranny and immeasurable cruelty, pardoned by Isabella but banned from returning to Hispaniola.

Fuck Columbus.
