I’ve spent years of my life trying to explain to people that anti-trans conservatism naturally flows from their belief that children in the American nuclear family are not individuals with autonomy, but instead property of the parents and state, and this guy just… tweeted it out

This darkness and the sunlight are a little too rough, a little too yellow, like the room is full of storm light. In the shadows on the floor, resting against the bed, head back against the lace, is a person with long hair and a relaxed, angled face, looking into the camera, into you. They are wearing a glittering golden dress, the hem rumpled around their waist, one breast exposed. They looked tired, half-collapsed, as if they have been exhausted from laughing at a party where everyone also burst into tears.

In the same room, the storm light saturated the corner, filled with an undone bed. The person is now collapsed on the bed, face down, dress half off, their half-naked tattooed back exposed to the touch of light, one leg fallen off the bed, the other bent so you can see the tender bottom of their bare foot. Their hair is spread in the lace and twinkle lights, so the tangled curls are full of glowing gold, like a halo.
