Thoughts on 2025 and our Dad.

Being this man's son is so ironic because I've never had 48 hours of being this stylish. Got the politics, the beard, the love for music and creativity, the love for African and Black people.

But fashion? Style?

Nah

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

I loved this one too. Riley has clearly been studying all of his lessons. The way he works with his dad is so seamless. The give and take and instant understanding between them. Feels like knocking out a full flawless album in one day would be light work for them.
I love Rhythm Roulette, and this might be one of the GOATED episodes. Beautiful display of legacy and mutual respect. Riley is going to be a problem.

at 7 yrs old my house burned down no loss of life, but everything else—pictures, beloved books, clothes, everything we owned—was gone. even years later the loss finds you. at sixteen, i suddenly wept for a cherished doll

i just think "at least you have each other", while true, ignores this void

Ion wanna date someone who’s an artist because if you use my voicemail or voice note of me crashing out on you in a song, I might lose it 🤣🤣🤣

Man... I am so thankful for all I have. I don't take it for granted. I may not be rich, but I have everything I NEED, and most of what I want. If I don't have it, I have a means to get it.

1. Meeting folks from different places and learning about their cultures. Also, meeting like-minded people to talk about different thing with.

2. I definitely would have more time to do other things! 😆😆
If social media infrastructure collapsed for some reason, what would you miss most about it?

What would excite you the most about loosing it?

Parable of the Sower is giving me chills all over again. This is so painfully accurate, right down to the year.

Whooaaa. I see!

(1) Conquer Greenland & Canada

(2) Drill and connect oil/gas pipelines to Russia. Justify with manifest destiny story. Build gated communities and golf courses as AI/crypto haven.

(3) Ice caps? Fuck em. Jetsons high rise above the climate problems or Jesus coming anyway.

Jared why "glimpse", "possible", "if"?

Everything you're listing has been happening this entire century. Octavia Butler called it 30 years ago.

What does community defense, mutual aid, and harm reduction look like?

Can we even do that across our niche lines with tech we don't own or code?
We’re getting a horrific glimpse at the possible future. Widespread, cataclysmic climate change tragedies made worse by austerity and blamed on minorities by the Right, who will use their power to enable the wealth class as they continue to profit

It doesn’t have to be this way. We can change this.

Sir, can just ONE of your parting zingers be "Hush all the malarkey, let's break the oligarchy"?

Just one.

Just oneeeee.

You cursing out reporters. Serving talking points for anti-equity folks. Doing everything but.

Come on mayne!!
