An experienced organizer I really respect once reminded folks "you can't always win, but you can always, always inflict a cost. Those add up."

The Australian state, whether Labor or Liberal is in power, exists to preserve this country as a fossil fuel exporter, a base for America to project its waning military power in the Pacific and as a tipping ground for US pop culture trash. We need a left populist independence movement.
