I managed to totally miss this somehow - the Mac app for Ruffle, the Flash emulator, bundles a Safari extension. If you pop it in /Applications, suddenly Safari can natively play back any webpage with Flash in it. I'm going to the Radiskull website and watching cartoons like it's 2000. ruffle.rs

If you can run #C64 software and want to get into the mood for #Halloween, I recommend heading over to csdb.dk/release/?id=..., watch the demo and maybe play the game at the end (or on disk 4).

I am thinking about what makes a great icon for a compiler and now I realise: The two icons I think are best are of two programs I used a lot when I was young. An assembly language package called Profimat and the A+L Oberon compiler.

What do you think makes a great #icon #design for a #compiler?
An Icon of a machine (white box with two slots) that gets a sheet of printed text in at the top and pushes a punch card out in the front. this was profit (race car icon next to it) to the richt there is a stylized windmill which is repeated in an icon in the lower half. This is the Oberon compiler. A variation of this includes don Quichote. (Debugger) Hammer nail and woodblock make up the icon for the linker.
