New video coming up on 15th January needs a few of your comments to feature; it's about audio cassette tapes and what they meant to us. Any memories of cassette players, tapes, music, mixtapes, 8-bit home computers that used tapes, or indeed anything else cassette-related? 📼🎶🕹️

I've just seen the full version of that TV advert for TikTok. Educational content on TikTok? That's like saying you need a Commodore 64 to help with your homework! 🤣

This is glorious, and I will confess I never realised both bands were involved with that song.
Top of the Pops (30th December 1982). The Fun Boy Three with Bananarama perform 'It Ain't What You Do It's The Way That You Do It'.

Wife got me a graphics tablet for Christmas. Yes, I'm shit at drawing (this was my first tryout with the device) but I'm loving how these things work, and it should come in handy for some of the finer detail in image editing for video work. Super-impressed with how pen-like using one is.

Remember that trend in the #80s of #MovieSoundtrack videos featuring the movie cast with the artist? #Videos at the height of #MTV popularity. #Ghostbusters, Jewel of the Nile, Stand By Me, St Elmo’s Fire. An oddity that I’m not sure continued beyond the 80s. Can anyone think of any other examples?

My wife has agreed to let me buy the Bubble Bobble/Taito version of the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade machine for my birthday next month. Super-stoked about finally having a 'proper' cabinet in the house. Any thoughts on this machine? I love the easily interchangeable carts for extra games.

Join me for a browse through the 1984 Dixons Christmas catalogue and put a ring around an item from each page that you'd REALLY want to find under the tree on Christmas morning in 1984. New Hi-Fi? Boombox? Portable TV for your bedroom? Come and take your pick!

McDonald’s. If you’d actually done that ad and in the last bit actually filmed a real person going into McDonald’s and eating a real burger with a tagline of “escape the fake” you’d’ve done gangbusters. Pay me for this idea.

Currently working on the script for next Thursday's Dixons Catalogue video and Fuzzy's just shared his personal collection of electronic games. Definitely one for the featured Comments section. 😊👍

Clamshell Donkey Kong is the biggest classic here for me.
As promised Steve, here’s my childhood collection of 80s electronic games. Some would’ve definitely been from around Christmas ‘84. 🌲 🎁

I'm after your comments to feature in a video this year (coming 11th Dec), looking through the '84 Dixons Christmas catalogue. Any memories of special toys & tech you got for Christmas around that time, or of Dixons in general (or any electrical stores you remember for that matter) are welcome. 📺🎅
