Today was an exciting day as Hugh Nelson was officially confirmed as our next Bishop of Worcester by the Bishop of London at a special ceremony at St Mary-le-Bow Church in London. He'll begin his ministry following his service of welcome on Sat 17 Jan, 2pm in the Cathedral.

This chimes with what I am seeing (have met several parents/grandparents in recent weeks who were invite to church by their children/grandchildren rather than other way round). It also raises important questions for churches @churchofengland.org

Excellent letter from the Bishop of Birmingham to Robert Jenrick.

At a time when so many other voices have been silent, the bishops have been admirably outspoken against attempts to stir up division.

The churches do a lot of community cohesion work & do not want to see this trashed for party gain.
