The furore over a politician taking advantage of their position is not addressing the core issue. Party politics is not democracy. The duopoly drag and opposing MP through this regularly, yet do nothing about the perks that are available. It's a distraction from important issues.

Clean water: $200b.
Ending hunger: $50b.
Educating every child: $40b.
A safe climate: $800b.
We could fund all of it & still have money left over. We choose weapons, not life.

All the discussion regarding the Libs and Nats dumping a net zero target is distracting from the reality that net zero will not prevent catastrophic climate change. Only the immediate cessation of the burning of fossil fuels will give any chance of a liveable climate.
