examining this from purely a branding perspective, when you drop the “DEI” stuff you’re just Walmart with higher prices. who is that supposed to appeal to?

When Tim called these people “weird,” that might have been the realest moment of the entire 2024 campaign.

The billionaire techno-fascists and their Nazi lapdogs should not feel welcome anywhere.

Props to Vermonters for showing the world what real Americans think of that couch-fucking fraud LARPing as our vice president.

The GOP should worry less about Proud Boy-types threatening them for going against Trump, and more about veterans who may be forced into making a Walter White-style decision after losing VA care due to Musk’s depravity.

That’s just one of countless scenarios that are absolutely on the table.

At a minimum it seems like cognitive dissonance, which is his whole existence “I hate the government and also am the richest man in the world because of gov’t contracts”. He has to know gov’t has something to do with funding research but also hates gov’t…

I would say Brennan is probably doing a better job than most at this but the MSM just isn’t prepared for this moment at all, neither institutionally or individually, they’ve just never believed fascism was a real threat.

Brennan is lightly hinting that this may be illegal but not flat out saying that by violating this law it invalidates having representatives in congress in the first place. They had over 10 years to legislate or litigate this away and when that failed they’re now just saying “who needs a senate!”

Not only that, he’s taken over the government’s payment system and appears will use it as a mechanism to stop making payments for any gov’t work he doesn’t like despite the gov’ts legal obligation to pay, but his highly illegal maneuvers will be shielded by pardon if charges were ever even brought.
February 2, 2025 at 8:27 AM
A shady oligarch has now taken control of the ability of the government to write checks as a way to stop legally obligated payments, all of which is illegal but he literally can just be pardoned if even charged, the game is all but over and the media and dems still think its the first quarter.

Here’s a little behind the scenes story from my time covering Karl-Anthony Towns that demonstrated his commitment to using his platform for good in many ways while he was in Minnesota. www.startribune.com/karl-anthony...

One of Towns’ greatest legacies over nine seasons with the Timberwolves was his commitment to public service and charity work.

If we extrapolate the current war against Ukraine to World War II (as we often do), at this point, Hitler has invaded Poland but suffered defeats near Warsaw and Krakow, lost Poznan and has been locked in grueling battles for almost three years over completely devastated border districts.

No. That would not be listening to the fans. Its a 4 game winning streak but it doesn’t “feel” like a 4 game winning streak.

When you ask “what went wrong” the only sensible explanation is the creation and growth of an information environment that can elevate random tweets and social media posts as avatars of Democratic policy, but treats Republicans announcing their dictatorial ambitions as news for page A13
