a year's worth of citibike rides for less than the price of a monthly metrocard (rip)
Good news for our friends in Bay Ridge and beyond who are interested in a @citibikenyc.bsky.social membership, but don’t want to pay $220 for it.

Lyft is offering a half-off deal right now.

For the afternoon crowd: I don’t know how to explain to you that you should stop at red lights nygroove.nyc/why-does-no-...
Society broke down and all, but you really still need to stop at red lights

People think "politics" is what you say, but politics is in fact how you wield power. In that sense, driving a car is one of the most profound ways to reveal what your actual politics are.

How people drive reveals the sickness at the heart of our society: wanting power, but not responsibility.
It just needs to be way easier to lose your license and your car for reckless driving, because a few months of major societal disruption 5 years ago taught people that driving in such a way that kills others or themselves is nbd
so uhhhhh is anyone going to do anything about the epidemic of drivers just blasting through red lights these days? @timdonnelly.com investigates: nygroove.nyc/why-does-no-...

The Owl's Head bike path linking the Wakeman/2nd Avenue connectors to the Shore Parkway Greenway closed today for reconstruction, to reopen in two weeks.

The NYC Streets Plan law requires the city to build 250 miles of protected bike lanes by 2026.

Here’s a suggestion for 4 miles of bike lanes that the next mayor will have to add to meet that goal.

The next mayor should extend the Fourth Ave. bike lane to Cannonball Park.

How many election cycles will we have to repeat this before council members learn that cars and parking spaces aren’t a big enough constituency to win elections?

Marathon Eve reminds us that the City of New York has the technology and know-how to not just tow cars, but tow a lot of them in a short amount of time.

They just choose not to because that might be a cop’s car.

Just putting this out there: if you’re looking for an excuse to ride a CitiBike around Bay Ridge, there’s a dock right next to the early polling place at Fort Hamilton High School.

Citi Bike has finally reached Bay Ridge.

Now we need some better bike infrastructure to handle the coming surge in ridership.

Sign the petition to extend the Fourth Ave bike lane from 64th St. to Cannonball Park.
