It’s Lorraine’s birthday today which means you should look at this drawing of Nell again.

We had tea in a restaurant near Penny Lane then saw someone drive on the wrong side of the road up Smithdown. What larks.
As we're in #Beatles #Anthology season, here's a piece of artwork depicting everyone's favourite talking head from the series - dear old Neil Aspinall.

This was drawn by Paul's partner, Lorraine, and some of you may have seen this as part of the wonderful @teatles.bsky.social 'Trumps' card game.

Guest Paul Abbott was also very impressed by Max Wright's voicebox in his Top Willie moment from the episode.

Do I remember what I say in podcasts? Very rarely - but here's a glimpse of the sort of heavyweight topics I can be relied on to tackle if you make me a guest on your show.
Not long ago we had @pablovich.bsky.social from @bigsort.bsky.social on the podcast to discuss the episode 'We're So Sorry, Uncle Albert'.

The conversation turned, as it so often does on ALFsplaining, to 17th century philosophers.

Sixty years ago today and in the Daily Mirror we're seeing The Beatles and Apple(s) before the Beatles and Apple!

It's January 3 in my part of the world, and the absolute first order of business is to remember Sir George Martin on the 100th anniversary of his birth. As I've called him before: He was the 5th-iest of Beatles, and the unrivaled 1st of *all* producers 🎂🎼

Sir George Martin was born 100 years ago today. He and the Beatles lucked into their glorious partnership and humankind is the lasting recipient. I was privileged to work with George and hoped to mark the centenary by touring a theatre show about his life & work – but I must stay focused on writing.

Popped out for brunch today, then ended up walking down to John Lennon’s childhood home, Mendips, and then taking the route past/through the golf course to Paul McCartney’s place at Forthlin Road, for a #Beatles style winter walk.

HAPPY MERRY!
No new episode tomorrow, so now’s the time to make sure you’re all caught up or simply take a break from our silly voices and nonsense.

Whatever you choose, we hope it’s part of a relaxing season for you. x

Just had a pleasant interaction with our postman who, seeing my Beatles t-shirt, insisted on showing my *his* Beatles t-shirt!

And now I'm going to have order more parcels so I can see him and say BEATLES at him.
