Welp, my football team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl. Oh well.
I did watch Transformers One for the first time since I watched it in theaters though.

Transformers One deserved better.
Is it a hot take to say I actually prefer the How to Train Your Dragon sequels over the first one? The first one's fantastic, don't get me wrong. But I felt like the sequels had more emotionally impactful stories, especially the second one (my personal favorite of the trilogy).

Nothing makes me happier than seeing these two wonderful sequels having beat out that soulless cash grab of a remake (you all know what I'm talking about) at the worldwide box office.

One of the most influential people in animation. He will be dearly missed.
I just saw that Roger Allers passed away at the age of 76 and I'm devastated. Roger was one of the most important people behind the Disney Renaissance at Disney Animation which included storyboarding a lot of films and co-directing The Lion King. What an incredible legacy.

Thor - Great to see Infinity War Thor back.
The X-Men - Hands down, the best one of them all.

There were a few animated films in 2025 that I liked better like The Bad Guys 2, The Day the Earth Blew Up, and (especially) Zootopia 2. But this was still a well done animated feature with revolutionary animation, fun characters, and catchy music.

Looking back a few years ago, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever seemed to have had better luck during its awards season compared to Wicked: For Good this year. Although it didn't get nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars like its predecessor, it still got a nomination at the PGA. That's something.

This honestly makes me happy to see. Film studios should not keep buying more movie studios and I still think both Netflix and Paramount would be horrible owners for Warner Bros and would do so much damage to the film industry. We do not need more mergers.

The X-Men trailer for Avengers: Doomsday might be the best one yet. I'll admit I got a little teary eyed seeing Charles and Erik holding hands by the chess board. And that shot of Cyclops is also enough to get me onboard with it.

The more I think about it, Universal should've waited to release Wicked: For Good later this year to regenerate interest. Otherwise, it might would've made twice as much as the first at the box office.
