I'm begging manufacturers of everything electric to incorporate on/off switches. I've just got some bookcase fairy lights to dispel the post-Christmas winter gloom and they have a button offering seven different modes, none of which is "off."

I have deactivated my X account. I hadn't used it for two years but I justified keeping it active as I have in the past needed it for work. But who wants to work for a company that still thinks it's justifiable or necessary?
