It's so funny that there's absolutely no base of support for moderates and centrists outside of people who only have meta positions based on what they believe are popular.

No one real holds these issues but there are people who insist that others do so we must be moderate and centrist to win.
Would love to see someone from the moderate, Majority Dem faction really address and wrestle with the political effects of what Labour has been up to.

I've thought about it long and hard and:

Christopher Nolan is to Family Guy, as Denis Villeneuve is to American Dad

Mark Sanford is one of the most Wonkette guys and it feels wrong he exists outside of that very narrow context of time and space.

with Marjorie Taylor Greene being kind of a whack job and magic the gathering rolling every IP it can into the game, it’s taking longer and longer to decipher which one posts about “MTG” are actually referencing lately

Biggest issue I have with this analysis is that besides Clinton in '16 when was the last time a potential candidate who was the expected front runner this far out actually the nominee?
J-MART, on Newsom:

“.. Ask yourself: How many other potential candidates .. can transcend the political-pop culture divide ..?

“.. there may not be a modern political figure who was simultaneously so well-positioned to be his party’s nominee ..”

The thing I can't get over is how this, and how things like ending SNAP, are all policies a person would come up with if they wanted to destroy health insurance and grocery stores and other things everyone else who doesn't rely on the ACA and SNAP use.
Cassidy: "The president is proposing that we take the $26b that would be going to insurance companies if we just do an extension and give it directly to the American people in which 100% of the money is used for them to purchase healthcare on their own terms. That makes them an informed consumer."

I would simply not have people who look and sound like a Mark Proksch character represent me if I was president.
KARL: The president claims that Thanksgiving costs are down 25%. Does he know that's not true?

HASSETT: Well if you look at Walmart--

KARL: Wait a minute. I've gotta stop you. The Walmart package this year contains much less than the one last year. That's why the price is less.

Is kind of sad that Chomsky lived a decade too long and I think he'll just be remembered for all the bad things.

At long last, a piece I've been working on since summer is ready. A dive into the work and influence of Glen Morgan and James Wong, from The X-Files, to Space:Above and Beyond, and Millennium. Come with me as I argue that modern television owes them an unpayable debt. ericsipple.com/the-writers-...
The Writers Who Invented Modern Television
Let’s pick a fight right out of the gate: Modern television began on September 24, 1995. Like all beginnings, it went unnoticed, misattributed to other moments, and lost under the shadows of more visi...

I got it into my head that Glen Powell is either right wing or right wing coded because of some things I vaguely remember him saying about Twisters and that's basically the entire reason I won't go see the new Running Man.

Kind of disappointing year for movies, was excited for Sinners, Nosferatu, and Frankenstein and they all were kind of bad.

At least Weapons was great.

All babies born should be confiscated by the state and parents should then be randomly given a new baby via a baby roulette wheel and over a few generations we can eliminate the ideology of racism
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I defend the Dems from unfair attacks but it's fucking stupid the Dem establishment would ever listen to this fucking guy even before the recent emails lol
NEW: Before the recent Epstein disclosures, Larry Summers was poised to lead the economic policy plank for the Democrats' "Project 2029" effort at the Center for American Progress. He signed off on a housing policy paper CAP was prepping for next week.

line between resist libs and anti Trump leftists is that as an anti Trump leftist I don't really care about the new Syrian president having been a member of a terrorist organization and I think it's weird to point it out as an own on Trump

very real possibility we have MAGA types abandoning Trump and adopting Fuentes and outright antisemitism when they construct a belief that Epstein was a Mossad agent that entrapped all of the political and economic elites in the country right?
November 13, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Not the biggest take away but reading the tone in these emails makes it very clear that Trump's utterly bizarre birthday message to Epstein was genuine.

I am a little optimistic because Trump's remarks about there not being any skilled American workers and the 50 Year Mortgage have seemed to break through into far right Facebook groups and meme pages and those people are fucking pissed.
