that's a funny answer but I can't be anything but sincere and say we were owed a Master and Commander cinematic universe that would have eventually extended in like Horatio Hornblower and big screen Sharpe shit

Can't overstate how much Stephen A Smith has ruined basketball discourse and fandom, like by himself he has just made following my favorite sport into a never ending cesspool of negativity and hating.

Are we talking tech worker, IT worker, developer, or infrastructure guy? Because I think there are correlations within each of those categories from my experience but nothing for them as a group.

If you're watching this season of Kardashians, as I do since I'm a married man and I don't get to control what we watch, much of this season is Kim talking about how hard acting is and it's very obviously true that it is indeed hard for her

there's a scene in it where Niecy Nash is wearing a baby blue suit and fedora like she's a 1930s PI talking to Kim who is dressed like she's an extra in Dune worshiping Paul and I don't think I've laughed harder at anything all year

Star Wars is fine if everyone who likes Star Wars and who makes Star Wars just appreciate that they are the movie versions of playing with a 4 year old where they eventually decide that they are Spider Man Avatar the Last Airbender and have all the powers and none of it matters or makes sense.

is kind of weird how the Dem pundits that get the most air and screen for punditry are the ones with the smallest base of support from within the party, be it Carville here or Larry Summers

Will you're a smart guy but then you take your generally correct point and then say something stupid like there's not been any change from 2022 to today like come on you can't think of any big changes that the economy has gone through in the last ten months

Feels like moderates and liberals were not ideologically committed to a centrist platform but sought consensus and agreeableness as a civic virtue, but they now think conservatives are liars or worse and want blood for violating the values they did care about, so yeah Woke 2 gonna be really cool.

Shit the charge of the Rohirrim is so good that Marvel spent 15 years and as many movies to try to have their own take on it that isn't half as good

RotK is wildly uneven but the parts that are good are fucking all time great and I think it's hard to not give a movie that has the lighting of the the beacons Best Picture

the only good Marvel movies are the ones that aren't Marvel movies and are just Marvel skinned genre movies, so yeah give us Speed Racer the movie but with pod racing instead I don't like Star Wars and love Speed Racer but I'd be OK with it

I did a lot of work bagging groceries to afford a Savage 4 3d accelerator and I fucking chose the wrong one OK even if made that Wheel of Time first person shooter look cool

We're definitely in a bubble, and I think some of the webs of investment are going to make the subsequent burst more damaging than most mainstream people realize, but I also think the people pointing out the reality of a bubble can get pretty hysterical about the costs and value of AI.
