As much as I'm looking forward to Thought Bubble, it looks like the drive up there tomorrow is gonna be a nasty one.

Work on Santa Claus in the Land of the Soviets continues. The script now includes a car chase, because why not.

On Sunday I completed the first treatment draft for Santa Claus in the Land of the Soviets, the long-promised sequel to Santa Claus vs the Nazis. It still needs a lot of work, but the basic structure is now there and I'm quite pleased with what I've come up with.

It hasn't happened in Wales due to the abundance of dragons.
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

#mcmcomiccon is over. It was pretty good, I tried out a new display which worked well. One thing though - the cover of Chamberlain, to state that it's about WW2, has a swastika on it. This has not been problematic at all before, but at this con, it caused some noticeable concern. /1

This weekend I will be at #MCMComicCon, table F-05. I'll have a new comic written by me and illustrated by Jeff Anderson, a satire about a man on the dole who is forced to volunteer as a henchman for a supervillain...

Did you know George Osbourne was an NWA fan? I was just listening to a track by Kneecap and found myself wondering if any future Tory leaders were right now singing "I'm a H.O.O.D., low life scum that's what they say about me...x

Ben very kindly gave me a copy of this, but I haven't had a chance to write a full review. It's an intriguing account of the much maligned Prome Minister's attempts to keep the peace ahead of World War Two. Well worth your attention, available here: benjamindickson.sumupstore.com/product/cham...

The new edition of Chamberlain has arrived! Same content but without the swastika on the cover. The book has proved really popular, although the first cover was a little controversial. I'll have copies at MCM and Thought Bubble, or you can buy either edition right now from www.bendickson.co.uk

The name Hegseth sounds suspiciously like a Lovecraftian creature to me.

I won't be tabling at #LICAF this year, but I will be going anyway to just hang out. I will have a few copies of my books with me so feel free to grab me, but if there is something specific you want please message here and I will bring a copy for you. You can see my books here: www.bendickson.co.uk

I've been re-reading Criminal after several years. I couldn't really remember the stories, but wow, they are SO well done.

Chamberlain, Silent Horizon and Children of the Moon book 1 are all now on Goodreads. If anyone has read any of them and would like to review them, it would be much appreciated!

Netflix currently have a murder mystery series set around Loch Ness. It looks intriguing, but if I watch it and the murderer doesn't turn out to be the Loch Ness Monster then I will be cancelling my subscription.

Thank you to my awesome friend Sara for posting this! 😁🙏 As she says, the graphic novel "Chamberlain", which tells the story of the appeasement era and the buildup to WW2, is available on my website (which Sara designed incidentally) www.bendickson.co.uk
