#mcmcomiccon is over. It was pretty good, I tried out a new display which worked well. One thing though - the cover of Chamberlain, to state that it's about WW2, has a swastika on it. This has not been problematic at all before, but at this con, it caused some noticeable concern. /1

This weekend I will be at #MCMComicCon, table F-05. I'll have a new comic written by me and illustrated by Jeff Anderson, a satire about a man on the dole who is forced to volunteer as a henchman for a supervillain...

The new edition of Chamberlain has arrived! Same content but without the swastika on the cover. The book has proved really popular, although the first cover was a little controversial. I'll have copies at MCM and Thought Bubble, or you can buy either edition right now from www.bendickson.co.uk

Also for sale on my table at MCM - Santa Claus Vs the Nazis! Written by me, illustrated by Gavin Mitchell, colours by Mrva & Watts. It's the book which tells the true* story of what Santa Claus did during the war!

I've started involuntarily reading these statements in the voice of Dr Evil from Austin Powers.

Another book I will be selling at MCM: Children of the Moon, illustrated by James McKay, written by me. A folk tale/fantasy set during the cavemen era. An altercation leads to a war between tribes - one of whom can change their shape. 68 pages, hardback BD format, part 1 of 3.

My latest graphic novel, Silent Horizon, will be debuting at MCM London at the end of the month! Fully (digitally) painted and 5 years in the making, it's about an island community left to fend for itself when the outside world suddenly goes silent.

I mean it works as long as you are in Japan, can hang around in the queue for an hour or two until you are allowed to choose your tickets and are flexible about what day or time you go.

I assume this is simply a case of a pub bore being repeatedly told to shut up and stop bothering people.
