This is obviously a lie, but is even more insidious considering how much Vance’s private equity overlords contribute to housing prices.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

I’m honestly surprised they swore in Rep @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social. I thought they’d continue to lie and stonewall.

As far as I’m concerned any Democrat senator not on this list was in on the #DemCave.
UPDATE — Here are the at least 11 congressional Democrats, 11 Democratic-aligned organizations, and 6 Democratic Senate candidates calling for Chuck Schumer to resign as leader:

Got a rare view of the #NorthernLights tonight! Interestingly this time around it didn’t look massively different to the naked eye.
November 12, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Oh no, this is going to imperil dear Leader’s FIFA peace prize isn’t it?
November 11, 2025 at 5:21 AM
Congrats @durbin.senate.gov & @schumer.senate.gov on passing this! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ah yes, insurance companies notably are very eager to negotiate with individuals. 🫩
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

What are the coolest and most practical #3D prints you've made?

@durbin.senate.gov still hiding from feedback from his constituents, not answering the phone or even allowing voicemail.

Democratic leadership just orchestrated the capitulation so standing with them isn’t really the flex you want us to believe it is.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.
November 10, 2025 at 3:43 AM
@duckworth.senate.gov @warren.senate.gov given this colossal failure do you support removing @schumer.senate.gov as minority leader?

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

I’ll be calling @durbin.senate.gov’s office tomorrow morning to let him know I think he’s incredibly aptly named. #IL

I’m a former Republican from #Illinois and it’s absolutely wild how Dick Durbin has managed to infuriate me at every stage of my political life.

I hope every pen you touch from now on is out of ink.

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

“Just so long as we don’t ACTUALLY fight.”
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."
November 10, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Elected Dems: We’re fighting the Trump regime…

Voters: GREAT! WOOHOO!

Elected Dems: by giving them everything they want

Voters: Wait, what?

Elected Dems: but they TOTALLY pinky promise to try and be a little nicer next time…

Voters: …

Elected Dems: as long as I stop making them so mad.

These jackasses caved for the political version of a player to be named later.

Dems always snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Here's the full text of the deal:
- House CR extended to January 30, no RIFs permitted until then
- Minibus
- Ds get a filibusterable ACA vote in December

There’s a non-zero chance Senate Dems don’t realize this is satire huh?
Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.
November 9, 2025 at 11:53 PM
@durbin.senate.gov @duckworth.senate.gov I would hope neither of you would be this gullible but I’ve seen Durbin cast some terrible votes.
I'm hearing the same thing. Dems are nearing a surrender. I'm shocked. Largest protest in history + best election night in years + polling showing we're kicking their ass in public opinion. And now Dems may cave.

It ain't over til it's over, so please do call if you've got a Dem senator.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
November 9, 2025 at 10:39 PM
@duckworth.senate.gov none of you can trust this regime. Do not negotiate with them. Hold the line.

This is just not true. The Trump administration has been cancelling nearly-done solar and wind projects approved by local regulators, constricting the supply of electricity
Pressed by Stephanopoulos on the fact that electricity prices have in fact gone up, Bessent punts: "Electricity prices are a state problem ... look, there are things the federal government can control. Local electricity prices are not one of them."
