Oh man, I just started crying reading this.
She died on Thursday.

Her teammates played for the Big Ten title on Sunday.

On Veterans Day we should talk about how to actually support vets. As media is talking about continuing resolutions, I'm thinking to last CR (supposedly a "clean CR"), where Congress made massive cuts to medical research aimed at helping vets. (sharing an old op-ed)

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.

In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”

And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Seahawks game is definitely not going in the right direction momentum-wise.

University of Washington goalkeeper Mia Hamant passed away following a valiant battle with kidney cancer. The Seattle Reign and Orlando Pride players honor her legacy by wearing orange ribbons tonight 🧡

Our thoughts are with her family, teammates and the entire Husky community.

Mariners are not listed often prob b/c of positions they need vs the positions of top 50 free agents. However, I think Ms may consider bringing Polanco back. I’d be shocked if they signed Verlander. The fan base would struggle with that one.

Imagine if men had to get a test like mammograms. We’d definitely have technology that didn’t feel like high-priced revisions to torture devices.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

The first person to ask a question said, “I read the last third of your book very closely. The first 2/3 was a lovely catalogue of sorts, but I find the final third inadequate to the first 2/3.”
🤣🤢😡🤣
Hard to imagine this guidance is necessary at a Seattle Town Hall talk. 😉🤣😉

Dems need to run everywhere in 2026! Just be yourself and make it about where you’re running.

In 2018, I ran for Congress in a district Trump won by 27 and I nearly upset a 20 year incumbent. 2026 has same potential.

A chance to expand the map is there! 🇺🇸

Echoing this. He’s pretty fun.
Ernie Clement will be a free agent. I am intrigued. He was annoying as an opponent, but I could definitely root for him as a Mariner.

It’s kind of painful watching Springer & Bichette. And yet they’re both making things happen.
