@thestar.com I don't understand why Rosie DiManno gets as much print as she does. But she clearly knows fuck all about baseball. What a joke, two guys being charged criminally and you're manager of the year. Take your last place team to the WS and Rosie ignores that

@nolore.bsky.social I am reading www.dundurn.com/books_/t2211... I was around for free trade and protested it. I went on strike at the same time as workers saw their right being chipped away. Fighting for forty years has made me tired. Thus is why your book resonates so deeply. I’ve spent so much

That an ex-con, enriched by a speculative activity that is both utterly useless & environmentally destructive, in cahoots with a despot who threatens our country, now tops the ranks of Canadian capitalism, proves we've gone right off the rails. Time to think big about change.

An absolute disgrace. No mention of improving health care to a mediocre level, or improving public health, or pharmacare, or recruiting doctors and nurses in the transformational Liberal budget however, just tax cuts for the wealthy.
As expected, Canada has lost its measles-free status because of the long-running outbreak there. With it goes the #measles elimination status of the entire zone of the Americas, the only division of the #WHO to ever have achieved measles elimination. www.statnews.com/2025/11/10/m...
Canada loses measles elimination status — as does the entire Americas region
Canada has formally lost its measles elimination status, the country’s public health agency announced, triggering the loss of that status throughout all of the Americas.

In the wake of the Panama Papers scandal, Kevin O'Leary said he'd take his marbles and leave if Canada tried to reduce the tax shelters that protect the rich from paying their fair share.

A government most voters rejected just handed millions to venues now licensed as “adult entertainment clubs.”

That is what happens when one party wins unchecked power with 40% of the vote.

The Dems won’t change their playbook because the Schumers, Clintons, Obama, and their ilk in their party are making shitloads of money. Trump might be killing what was allegedly a democracy, but he’s not killing the bank accounts of the wealthiest. Neoliberalism reigns supreme

A general strike HAS TO happen. The spectre of what is happening in the US should motivate a fight. The same neoliberals overthrowing the US are the same ones backing Smith and others

Scrap the focus-tested messaging. Communicate directly with passion and substance. And start advocating for solutions as big as the crises we face in ways people can understand.

Only 40% of these units are "affordable".
What's "affordable"?
CMHC definition: 30% of pre-tax income. But household pre-tax income varies a lot in Toronto.
Before Carney's Build Canada Homes program, "affordable" = below 80% of median market rent.
Is this rent or own @benspurr.bsky.social?
