1. Headlines everywhere today read "Grok apologizes."

This is bullshit. A chatbot is not something that can apologize.

Pretending otherwise is simple laundering these companies' bullshit about what AI is, while diffusing blame away from the human beings that developed and released this system.

I think it's a bad thing to lump all types of machine learning under "AI".

The previous post is a thread, by the way
But when I talk about it, I'm going to try to use the terms "LLM" or "Generative AI", because it feels near-impossible to have productive conversation about any of this when the term "AI" has become a catch-all to some, and something very specific to others.

Gave a talk this morning about how AI FOMO isn't a strategy and several Qs afterwards were asking if may be FOMO *should* be the driving force. But if 89% of the public think proven safety should come first, then it feels like a good idea to respect that

Who are the best voices in the "future, given AI" analysis space?

Like, writing about a potential point at which there isn't enough publicly-available human-generated raw content to train them on.

Or where there aren't enough experienced staff for a role because AI impacted the workforce pipeline

Lazy post since I haven't yet searched for an answer:

How would you determine if you're good at prompt engineering? Are there tests? Are there categories, like you can hone skills for a specific type of Gen AI use case, or specific models?
