Mom, teacher, Vermonter. Proud to be the 1st Congresswoman from the great state of Vermont. #teambecca #bhive🐝 🏳️‍🌈🏍🍁
Trump is very afraid Stefanik's seat would be flipped. This is a heavily Republican district but this tells me Democrats would’ve had a good shot at flipping it. Americans are fed up with Republicans’ BS. The work starts now to flip the House.
🚨 NOMINATION PULLED

Trump announces he is pulling Elise Stefanik's nomination to be ambassador to the United Nations.

The White House was concerned about the Republicans' slim majority in the House.

That’s exactly right. We had a nearly unanimous Dems vote against this bill in the House. This is NO time for business as usual. Americans want us to fight for our country, damn it!
When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

This is a team sport. Sometimes, everyone agrees on a strategy you have concerns about. I’ve voted with less than 10 people multiple times.

But let’s be clear — there’s nothing heroic or admirable about green-lighting a billionaire takeover of our country. In these moments, our unity is our power.

This funding bill is NOT a “clean” continuing resolution to fund the government. It allows Trump and Musk to take money away from programs that Americans rely on that Congress has already funded. It also jeopardizes current lawsuits against Trump. NO on cloture! No on passage! Senate must fight!

💯
The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave. And Team Fight stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party. Misread this at your own peril.

It’s time for Democrats to make clear where we stand. Because we know we win when Americans know what we’re fighting FOR:

For affordable housing
For a living minimum wage
For accessible, quality health care
For democracy
For labor
For immigrants
For working people

Reminder to all Democrats out there: we are the opposition party. Let your voice be heard and your courage seen.

When you take a look at progressive action, progressive policies, progressive values — those are the things that really make a difference for people. That's why they're popular. We need to be unapologetic in embracing economic progressivism.

This is something we need to continue to keep our eye on — even though Trump won. Republican lawmakers say they trust the system that delivered a Trump victory, but are still working to make it harder for you to vote.
What Republicans are pushing for are not "reforms." They want to make it harder for people to vote and easier for the GOP to cheat. If they enact new voter suppression and election subversion laws, we will sue and we will win. www.npr.org/2025/01/13/n...
Despite Trump's win, 'election integrity' activists still seek sweeping voting changes
Republican voters say they trust the 2024 election was administered well, yet pro-Trump conservatives are pushing some sweeping reforms to voting systems.

Rep. Balint: "This is such a loss for this incoming president. He has been weakened by Musk, because it's clear that Musk is the one who's calling the shots. He says what the gameplan should be, Trump catches up a few hours later, and then Johnson backtracks from the deal."

I said it before the election: if Trump wins Peter Thiel and Elon Musk will be running the government. And here we are.

For a man that’s just been elected president, Trump is looking pretty small right. He’s not calling the shots. Musk is clearly in the driver’s seat and the House Republicans gave him the keys. We are all about to be ripped off by this billionaire because House GOP rolled over.

Canaan. Charleston. Jay. Lyndon. Maidstone. Pittsford. Poultney. Pownal. Readsboro. Ryegate. Tinmouth. Woodford.

In these towns, Vermonters split their tickets and voted to send Trump and myself back to DC.

If this was you, I'm curious to learn more. Send me a message!

Hey Bluesky! I'm Becca, Vermont’s Congresswoman. I love to take my dog on hikes, ride my motorcycle, and spend time with my family.

I'm in this fight for working people and equality for everyone. We're entering a period of uncertainty, but we cannot give in to despair. All of you give me hope!
